TILE ROOF REPLACEMENT & REPAIR

Tile Roofing Built for Southwest Florida's Toughest Conditions.

Tile is the roof that defines Naples — the warm barrel curves, the Mediterranean character, the way it catches the Florida light. It's also the most complex roofing system to install correctly. We follow manufacturer specifications and Florida Building Code to the letter, because a tile roof only performs when every layer underneath it is done right.

WHY NAPLES HOMEOWNERS CHOOSE TILE

The Roof That Defines Southwest Florida Homes.

Drive through Port Royal, Pelican Bay, or Park Shore and you'll see tile everywhere. Barrel tile, flat tile, concrete, clay — it's the signature look of Naples, and it's what gives these neighborhoods their character. The warm earth tones, the dimensional texture, the way the rooflines blend with the palms and stucco — tile is as much about how your home looks as how it performs.

A properly installed tile roof can last 50 years or more, withstand Category 4 winds, and shrug off decades of Florida sun. But tile is only as good as the system underneath it. The underlayment, the battens, the flashing, the fastening method — these are the layers that actually keep water out. The tile itself is the armor. The underlayment is the waterproofing.

We treat a tile roof as a complete system, not just a surface material. Every layer is documented, inspected, and photographed before the next one goes on top.

TILE OPTIONS

Three Profiles. Three Different Characters.

The profile you pick defines your home's look from the street. The system underneath — underlayment, battens, flashing — stays the same regardless. Performance lives below the surface. The tile is what you'll see every time you pull into the driveway.

Barrel Tile

The classic Southwest Florida look. The curved S-profile creates warm shadow lines and a Mediterranean character that's synonymous with Naples. Available in a wide range of earth tones, blends, and custom colors to complement your home's exterior.

Flat Tile

Clean, modern profile that's growing in popularity across Naples. The low-profile look works beautifully on contemporary and transitional architecture — less ornate than barrel, with a sharp, refined appearance that reads as crisp and intentional from the street.

Clay Tile

Premium material with unmatched longevity — 75+ years with proper installation. Natural, kiln-fired color that will never fade, chip, or require recoating. The most elegant option available. For homeowners who want their roof to outlast everything else on the house.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOOK

Your Roof Sets the Tone for Your Entire Home.

Tile is the most visible surface on your house. The profile, color, and texture you choose changes the way your entire exterior feels — from the street, from the driveway, and from across the neighborhood. A warm sand barrel tile on light stucco feels coastal and inviting. A dark flat tile on a modern build feels sharp and grounded. These aren't afterthoughts — they're the decisions that make a home feel like yours.

We walk you through tile options in the context of your actual home — your exterior paint, your trim, your landscaping, your neighborhood's overall character. The goal is a roof that looks like it was always meant to be there.

Color and finish guidance We help you narrow options based on your home's exterior palette and your HOA's approved colors, so there are no surprises after installation.

Profile selection — Barrel, flat, and specialty profiles each create a different feel from the street. We'll show you how each option reads on homes similar to yours.

Full samples before you commit — You'll see and hold the actual tile before anything gets ordered. No guessing from a thumbnail on a screen.

Your roof should feel like a decision you love — not one you just got through.

HOW WE REPLACE A TILE ROOF

Every Tile Replacement Follows This Process.

Tile roofs have more steps than any other roofing system. Every layer is photographed before the next one covers it up. Daily updates, clear timelines, and your property treated like it's ours.

1

Project Setup & Property Protection

Before any roofing work begins, we stage materials, set tarps over landscaping, lay plywood on driveways and walkways, and shield pools and lanais.

2

Full Tear-Off & Deck Exposure

All tile, battens, underlayment, and old flashing removed down to bare deck. We inspect every square foot of sheathing before anything new goes on.

3

Deck Repair & Inspection

Rotted or damaged decking replaced with code-compliant sheathing. Photos taken of every repair. Nothing gets covered until the deck is sound.

4

Underlayment Installation

Peel-and-stick modified bitumen underlayment applied to the full deck. This is your true waterproofing layer — we don't leave any of it to chance.

5

Drip Edge, Flashing & Metal Work

New drip edge on all eaves and rakes. Step flashing at every wall junction. Valley metal set and sealed. All penetrations properly flashed.

6

Ventilation & Penetrations

New pipe boots on every penetration. Ridge vent balanced with soffit intake for proper airflow.

7

Cleanup & Final Inspection

Magnetic sweep for nails. Full inspection with photo documentation. Completion checklist signed and delivered to you.

Your Documentation Package

Every project includes a full photo record of the installation process, material receipts, and warranty registration.

YOUR PROJECT EXPERIENCE

We Know This Is Your Home, Not a Job Site.

A tile roof replacement takes 5–10 days. That's a full week of crews on your property, noise starting early, and your home looking like a construction zone. We can't change that — but we can make sure you're never left wondering what's happening, what's next, or whether everything's on track.

Before we start, you'll receive a clear project schedule — which days we'll be on-site, what's happening each day, and when we expect to be finished. During the project, you'll get a daily update every morning with the plan and every evening with progress photos. If anything changes, you hear it from us first.

Pre-project walkthrough — We walk the full property with you before day one. Where we stage materials, how we access the roof, what gets tarped, and where the dumpster goes. No surprises on start day.

Daily communication — Morning plan, evening recap with photos. You'll always know where we are in the process and what's coming next.

Property protection — Landscaping tarped, driveways covered, pools and lanais shielded. Magnetic nail sweep of the full yard every single day.

Dried in every night — Your home is never left exposed overnight. If weather changes mid-project, we adjust. Your interior is protected no matter what.

The roof is our job. Making sure you feel good about the whole process is just as important.

TILE ROOFING QUESTIONS

What Naples Homeowners Ask About Tile Roofs

How long does a tile roof last in Florida?

+

Concrete tile typically lasts 25–35 years. Clay tile can last 40+ years or more. But the underlayment underneath usually needs replacement every 20–30 years. That's why many tile roofs in Naples need work — the tile looks fine from the street, but the waterproofing layer underneath has reached end of life.

How much does a tile roof replacement cost in Naples?

+

Full tile roof replacements in Naples typically range from $20,000 to $45,000 depending on roof size, tile profile, and complexity. We provide a detailed written scope with exact numbers — use our online quote tool for a preliminary estimate.

Do I need HOA approval before replacing my tile roof?

+

In most Naples communities, yes. Your HOA will typically require approval for the tile profile, color, and sometimes the manufacturer before work begins. We handle this regularly — we'll help you identify your HOA's requirements, submit the right documentation, and make sure everything is approved before we order materials. No one wants to find out after installation that the color wasn't on the approved list.

How long does a tile roof replacement take?

+

Tile roofs  typically take 5–10 days depending on size and scope. We provide daily updates and ensure your home is dried in at the end of each work day — your home is never left exposed overnight.

Can I switch from tile to shingle (or vice versa)?

+

Yes. Switching from tile to shingle is straightforward — the roof structure can always support lighter material. Going from shingle to tile may requires structural engineer's assessment to confirm your trusses can handle the added weight. We can also show you how different materials would change the look of your home so you can make the choice with full confidence.

My tile roof is leaking but the tiles look fine. What's wrong?

+

Almost certainly the underlayment. Tile is waterproof, but the system beneath it has a shorter lifespan. After 20–25 years in Florida's heat, the underlayment deteriorates and water finds its way through. This is the most common tile roof issue in Naples — the tile is doing its job, but the layer underneath it needs replacement.
