THE SHORT VERSION
I'm a U.S. Air Force veteran. After the military, I built and sold a company in a different industry — one that taught me how to build systems, hire the right people, and deliver a consistent experience at scale. I moved to Southwest Florida to be closer to family and start the next chapter.
I chose roofing because I spent years studying how roofing systems actually work — the engineering, the material science, the installation methods, and the gap between how roofs should be installed and how most companies actually install them. That gap is wide. I started Rectangle to close it.
This isn't a side project or an investment vehicle. I'm the owner, the estimator, and the person who shows up to your house. I built Rectangle to be the roofing company I'd want to hire for my own home — and I plan to run it that way for a long time.
WHAT OWNER-OPERATED ACTUALLY MEANS
I answer the phone. No receptionist, no call center. When you call Rectangle, you're talking to the person who owns the company and does the work.
I inspect your roof personally. I'm the one on your roof with a camera, documenting every issue and walking you through what I find. No sales reps, no bait-and-switch between the person who sells the job and the person who does it.
I write your proposal. Every scope of work, every material spec, every line item comes from me. You'll understand exactly what you're paying for because I'll explain it to you directly.
I'm on site during your project. I manage the crew, check the work, and make sure every step matches what we agreed to. Your project doesn't get handed off to someone you've never met.
I stand behind it after. If something isn't right, you call me — the same person who did the work. No warranty departments, no ticket systems. Just a direct conversation with the person responsible.
BACKGROUND
My career has been about building systems that work reliably under pressure. In the Air Force, that meant satellite communications networks — systems where failure isn't an option and every component has to perform exactly as designed.
After the military, I built a company from scratch, scaled it across multiple markets, and eventually sold it. That experience taught me that the difference between a good company and a great one is process — doing the same thing the right way every time, documenting it, and holding yourself accountable to a standard that doesn't flex based on how busy you are.
I bring that same approach to roofing. Every inspection follows the same checklist. Every installation follows the same documented process. Every project gets the same photo documentation. The consistency is the point — it's what protects you and what holds me accountable.
